The specimen pieces are those pieces that have some unique characteristic that I felt would appeal to at least some of my customers. None of these pieces are polished; however, each piece will have unique structure, coloration, or shape that made it appealing to me. For the novice and first time collector, some of the sets I offer provide fascinating views into the world of the dinosaur. What you can hold in your hand is the actual remains of a 146-156,000,000 year old dinosaur!

At the bottom of the page I offer small quantities of sorted material. There is no characteristic shape or asthetic appeal to these, but you can have quantity for a very inexpensive price. This would be good for birthday parties or classrooms.

As a reminder, it is illegal to collect vertebrate fossils on state or federal property (see the page on Bone Laws).

My apologies, but I am unable to tell you what each bone was or which beast it came from.

The specimens available in this section are small blocks, pieces, and shards of actual dinosaur bone.
Most of them are calcified rather than agatized. Each one was hand selected to have one or more interesting structural features.
These are not museum quality, but are fascinating artifacts from the Era of Dinosaurs!

DINOSAUR DUST





DINOSAUR DUST

As I am carving my specimen, art and jewelry out of dinosaur bone, a fine powder accumulates around my grinder. This is fossilized dinosaur bone ground down to dust. Several folks have found this interesting, so I have bottled up a few vials.

What is it good for?  Absolutely Nothing!

Dinosaur Dust is sold in small vials.
