Sculpture, Art and Jewelry provide the best opportunity to show off the truly incredible beauty of Agatized Dinosaur Bone. Each and every piece I create inspires me to do more and better work. I started off doing small sculptures, such as eggs, spheres, paperweights, and free-form shapes, such as “The Flame”, “The Block”, “The Sail”, “The Wave”, and “Tadpole”. These three-dimensional objects are shaped and polished on all sides.

Later, I developed a line of framed pieces that I called the “Evolved Plant Series”. These whimsical creations represent soft, organic, flowing life forms. The series includes such work as "Fruit", "Nuts", "Amphora", "Flower Tree", "Grapes", and "Mushrooms". This led me to an exploration of animal forms, geometric designs, abstract forms patterned after the remarkable eccentric flints of the Maya, and my most recent, reproductions of the archaic Indian pictographs (1500 to 8000 years old) found on rock panels scattered throughout southeast Utah.

Most of my work has moved on to new "owners"; however, I've included some of those pieces in the gallery below to give you, the viewer, a better idea of the nature of bone, the color variety, and the scope of the work I do. If something does not have a price tag, then unfortunately, it is not available. However, if you would like a similar object, contact me and I will discuss what I can do. It is rare that I have very much of a given color (most every piece is different), but I can sometimes come close.

Sorry about the photo!! The black line is a hair, not a crack!

The six Spheres below are all that is left of a 15-piece Sphere Collection I took to Los Angeles in 1987. I was hoping to make a name for myself and agatized dinosaur bone, to no avail. This remaining set is not for sale, but I can re-create the patterns (with different color schemes).

It should be noted that all my spheres are hand-crafted rather than being shaped with a sphere machine. Perhaps I should call them "Ovoids"!

These small sculptures are three-dimensional free-forms. The shape is a three-sided (sometimes four-sided) twist.  Depending on how I look at the stone, I will make them left-handed or right-handed twists. They are free-standing with flat polished base; however, they will be shipped with a small plastic base adhered with silicone caulk for protection. The base can be easily removed without damage to the stone or polish, but I recommend that you leave it on. If they were knocked over, the sharp edges would be vulnerable to chipping. As with all my work, bone of the highest quality is used. The size is 2-1/2" tall by approximately 1-1/4" across the widest face.

A separate glass & brass display case is available for this or other work. Apologies for the poor photo!! The brass plaque spells out "DINOSAUR" in large font.
